VK Lingam video: Brother vs Brother
Well, two months later, Lingam finally broke his silence when he said he will clear his name and will cooperate with royal commission. Why he didn’t say he will clear his name from the very first day he saw the video is anyone’s guess.
What followed up after Pak Lah said yes to the royal commission is even more interresting.
VK Lingam’s estranged brother has made two police reports providing further allegations of judicial corruption and reveal inside information of the senior lawyer’s cozy relationship with top judges, some of whom have since retired.
VK Thirunama Karasu, 49, also claimed that the police had refused to take further action on his first report, resulting in him making a second report three days later at another police station.
……
Thirunama also claimed he had witnessed his brother – whom he referred to as Dato V Kanagalingam – hand over a RM50,000 cheque to then head of the Industrial Court.

But the plot gets thicker.
VK Lingam, in his self-defence had issued a statement denying his brother’’s allegation:
Controversy-ridden lawyer VK Lingam today described his enstranged brother, who had leveled numerous accusations of judicial corruption against him, as being delusional.
In a statement, Lingam said his younger brother VK Thirunama Karasu, 49, is suffering from “hallucinations, strong suicidal tendencies, delusions and major depression”.
In view of this, he argued that Thirunama’s alleged mental condition rendered his allegations baseless.
“He has suffered this condition well before 1998,” said the lawyer.

Today, VK Lingam’s brother replied :
I am not mentally unsound, charged the estranged brother of controversy-ridden lawyer VK Lingam today.
VK Thirunama Karasu, 49, said he is mentally fit and has vowed to sue his elder brother for defamation for casting aspersions on his character.
“I will sue Datuk VK Lingam,” he told reporters this morning outside the Anti-Corruption Agency headquarters in Putrajaya.

So you see…. one mess leads to another and another, while the public are still far from the truth. The royal commission as promised by Pak Lah is still nowhere to be seen. How long will Pak Lah take to form the royal commission? Another 2 months? Will this be a broken promise…. hold on tight to your seat belt as the ride will be even more interesting and may even be bumpy, to say the least.
