Now he is talking about renewed interest to take over the BN Government this time through Sarawak. For his failure to deliver the anticipated and much talked about September 16 takeover, Anwar just had this to say…

[...]admitted his plan to sign up defecting lawmakers had been a “headache”.

[...]“It is not easy to explain why we couldn’t form the government as there are some matters that I still cannot talk about,” he said.

Source: Malaysiakini

Wait… did he say he has some matters he still could not talk about? If yes, then shouldn’t he just do not talk about it?

Anyway… I am sure not a lot of people are as enthusiastic anymore to hear about his whatever plan to take over. Not after what he did with September 16. Didn’t he also say that he was now in no hurry to take over the federal government?

I am still hopeful for it to happen but sorry to say this time, but let’s not be too crazy about it and be disappointed 2nd time. Once bitten, twice shy…. I’d rather he just do it.

Post from: The Kuala Lumpur Traveler

September 16 is now Malaysia Day

Government

Malaysia Day

September 16

I heard over the radio this morning that the BN Government has agreed to make September 16 as Malaysia Day. It was also mentioned that this year’s Malaysia Day will be celebrated sometime in October (I can’t remember the date) in Sabah (I think, or was it Sarawak?) because September 16 this year falls in the fasting month. Ha ha ha…. what a reasoning.

This announcement is yet another moral victory for Pakatan Rakyat. I hope Pakatan Rakyat will keep coming up with more good ideas and let the BN Government copy the ideas so that the people can see how this present government actually has no intention of giving what the people wants out of their own thinking heads. Remember the extra maternity leave? That was copied from Pakatan Rakyat’s Kelantan Government. The recent free eletricity was copied from Pakatan Rakyat’s Selangor Government free water… and many more.

And today, the same BN Government proudly announced 10 cent reduction in petrol price and at the same time asked the businesses to reduce prices of the other items…. what a nonsense.

Updated: According to Bernama here, the day is only to be celebrated in Sabah and Sarawak only. Ironically… the same news source also quoted:

In his speech, he said the cabinet had agreed to change the Malaysia independence day celebration to the Malaysia day celebration as it would be more significance to Sabah and Sarawak which joined the federation in 1963

I am confused by them.

Post from: The Kuala Lumpur Traveler
