Looking at the things done by Election Commission under Rashid, there is no doubt what so ever that this man has very low passing grade… if Election Commission is ever subjected to any kind of examination or evaluation by Rashid.

With all the irregularities…. Rashid still have the audacity to claim that the recent general election is the best ever. May I ask you Rashid…. under what aspects the 12th general election was the best ever?

On Thursday, Rashid was quoted by the New Straits Times as saying that the 12th General Election had the least number of problems ever and was thus “one of the best elections ever”.

Source: Malaysiakini

So…. the least number of problems is your yardstick for claiming the 8th general election is the best ever. What a shame. The small number of problems, actually, is only from your persepective Rashid… and that is because you are a low class EC Head with low passing mark for grading your own performance.

For example, it surely does not mean much at all to you when you have promised to the entire nation that the indellible ink would be used but finally, you shamelessly gave lousy excuses for not introducing the use of indellible ink… and the people knew why you did so. After all, the BN government had also shamelessly changed the constitution in a matter of days to extend your ‘great’ service to the BN Government.

So that was one issue very important to the people and democracy but you have conveniently set aside as non-issue, so no wonder from your point of view, the recent election had the least number of issues.

What about other issues such as postal votes? Multiple registration of a single individual using old and new IC numbers? Phantom voters? Voters moved out of their constituents without their consents? Tainted electoral rolls…. and many more? You have swept them all under your armpits so there were really no issues for you. You….Mr Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman is the best Chairman the EC ever had…. to the BN that is. But you forgot…. while you have your own plan…. Allah also has His own plan…. and Allah’s plan is the best of all plans.

Yes… the 8th general election was the best ever general election… that shows the Election Commission had failed miserably to carry out its duties independently and honestly. May you have all the answers ready when you are judged in front of God Almighty in the life Hereafter.

Photocredit: Malaysiakini

Post from: The Kuala Lumpur Traveler

SPR screwed up big time in Titiwangsa: BN candidate survived!

Election

election 2008

Election Commission

Titiwangsa

It is hard to imagine that what transpired at the Candidate Nomination Center for Titiwangsa Parlimentary seat had actually happened on the Nomination Day. The nomination proceeding on that fateful day had just confirmed my belief, and everyone’s belief, that Election Commission (EC) is nothing more than BN’s tool to fool the people. On the Nomination Day, PAS had raised three objections to the EC against the BN candidate Datuk Aziz Jamaluddin Md. Tahir. 1) The BN candidate had written te word “Datuk” in his nomination form, where as his legal Identification Card does not have the word “Datuk”.

EC’s explanation: The objection was not accepted because as long as there appears the candidate’s name on the nomination form, it is acceptable.

My two cents: BULL SHIT…. if that is the case why the hell do you need the legal ID as the proof of one’s legal name? Shouldn’t the ID number and the name of the candidate appear exactly on the nomination form as it is shown in the legal ID?

2) The BN candidate’s nomination form was not furnished with the stamp duty as required by Election Commission’s latest ruling.

EC’s explanation: The objection was not accepted because the recent ruling by EC was not clear.

My two cents: DOUBLE BULLSHIT to EC…. I am lost for words to describe SPR’s stupidity in coming up with the reasons for the rejecting the objection. I always thought that the latest ruling by EC to furnish stamp duty with the nomination form was to cause difficulty to the opposition candidates but Allah is Great. Now I know, the new ruling by EC is actually to show to the entire world how stupid the EC is, first, to come up with such ruling at a very short notice, and second, how much more stupid the EC is to have gone against their own ruling. Yes… DOUBLE BULL SHIT for EC’s DOUBLE STUPIDITY.

3) PAS had raised an objection that the BN candidate had paid the election deposit by cheque which is against the election ruling too.

EC’s explanation: The EC officer had denied that the BN candidate paid by cheque and claimed that the deposit payment was made by bank draft. When the request was made to see the cheque or the bank draft, the EC officer refused to show the proof.

My two cents: EC can go to HELL.

Dear Malaysians, this is the reality of our so called independent Election Commission. The Election Commission that is funded using tax payors money (mind you…. that is your money and my money) but not only the EC had failed miserably in discharging it’s duties, the commission had also insulted our intelligence time and again. The only way to stop this bull shit by the EC is to deny BN’s two third majority in the August House, if not totally let them go fly kite in the coming 2008 General Election… so that a reformed Election Commision can be instituted to redeem the pride of our nation.

Will You Vote for Change? Vote Wisely Malaysian!

Related story at KLpos.com

Post from: The Kuala Lumpur Traveler

11th-hour poll rules changes: BN’s dirty trick department at work?

Bersih

Election

election 2008

Election Commission

Election Commission (EC) announced on Thursday 21st Feb 2008 that all election candidates must must pay stamp duty on their applications to contest. Is this part of the plan by the BN Government who had worked extra time to amend the constitution to extend the service of certain individual? What is the purpose of imposing such rules at the last minutes? Perhaps, nomination day tomorrow willl tell the story.

Government offices selling revenue stamps in the northern states will open at 8am on Sunday, considered a working day here, leaving candidates little time before nominations must be submitted between 9am and 10am on that day.

“I see this as a gimmick to make things difficult for opposition candidates,” said Mustaffa Ali, state election chief for the Islamic opposition party PAS.

Source: Malaysiakini

Election 2008 not yet started but the dramas are already unfolding and you can be assured that what have transpired so far are just the tip of the iceberg of what lies ahead come the polling day.

Will You Vote for Change?
