Wan Azizah Wan Ismail won the seat with a 13,388 majority at the March 8 general elections.

By-election 26th August 2008, Anwar got 31,195 votes, Arif Shah, 15,524, Hanafi, 92.

Anwar won, with a majority of 15,671. Lower turnout and yet Anwar won with a much bigger majority.

Pak Lah, Najib, Arif Shah and the BN guys were saying even less majority for Anwar would have meant a moral victory for BN. It must have been another tsunami for Pak Lah and Najib but who know the guys were still fast asleep.

Did someone by the nick name of KJ a.k.a S.I.L come to Permatang Pauh say he came to Permatang Pauh to bury Anwar?

Well… now BN has to declare it has lost not only the Permatang Pauh by-election but possibly also the entire Malaysian confidence. Anwar, instead of buried by KJ, had buried the entire BN and Anwar owe it to all the Permatang Pauh folks who had turned up and voted PKR in today’s by-election.

Need we say more? No, not on the Permatang Pauh.

But Anwar now has to deliver what he has been preaching all along. September 16…. the BN Government has to go out and the PR Government has to go in. There is no two way about it. That is what the the people Permatang Pauh, on behalf of all Malaysians…. less of course some irrelevant UMNO Baru, MIC, MCA members and so on, had indicated by giving Anwar a bigger majority swing to PKR.

Now Mr Anwar Ibrahim, congratulation on winning the Permatang Pauh by-election, but will you deliver your end of the bargain? The whole nation will be watching you… so do or die…. go figure out and end this ‘tyranny’ once and for all. What happens after that, we will deal with it separately.

On the same note, to those BN Parlimentarians who had approached or been approached by Anwar and had indicated agreement to jump off that sinking ship called BN, you should now be convinced that the people want change and you, despite maintaining a long silence…. owe it to the people of Malaysian to fulfill that aspiration.
