It is now confirmed. Anwar Ibrahim will be charged in court tomorrow, 7th August 2008, for sodomy offence. It will be a much awaited event as Anwar is now expected to contest in a by-election for the parlimentary seat of Permatang Pauh.
The seat had been vacated by his wife Wan Azizah who had been holding the forte there since Anwar was sacked, also for sodomy allegation by Mahathir, way back in 1998. I know… I know… you guys must be saying am I nut or what? However I just want to give a suggestion to BN so that they will be able to save some faces in Permatang Pauh.
We all know too well that whoever is fielded in Permatang Pauh constituency will surely be a sacrificial ‘candidate’. Going by the normal tradition, it is impossible for anyone else to win Permatang Pauh so BN should not waste any good candidate to face Anwar. I had just finished watching the live ‘fuel price hike’ debate between Anwar Ibrahim and Ahmad Shabery Cheek telecast live on TV9. Moderated by Johan Jaafar, the debate entitled ‘Form the government today, reduce fuel prices tomorrow’ was held at the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka in Kuala Lumpur. There were two other panelists, Nordin Kardi and Zulkifli Sulong.

For all those who think that Anwar should swear in the name of Allah using the Quran to prove his innocence, you are definitely barking the wrong tree. In this sodomy allegation case, Anwar is not required to prove anything. The sodomy case is similar to adultery (zina) case. The onus is on Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the accuser, to prove his allegation.

Well, it took a long while for Star Online to come up with full report on the explosive SD by P. Balasubramaniam but when it finally did, this photo comes with the report. Balasubramaniam was smiling from ear to ear at the PC, shaking hand with Anwar.
