Anwar refuses to give his DNA: What is he afraid of?

Well, the Deputy Home Minister asked What’s the difference between 20 or 50 minutes? and now the Home Minister asked “What is he afraid of?” Duh….
Excerpt from Malaysakini:
He is quoted as saying, “What is he afraid of? He can have his own doctor present when giving the sample.”

For better or for worse, Anwar did not consent to give his DNA to the authority. Since Syed Hamid asked why Anwar is afraid to give his DNA, here are some answers to Syed Hamid.
The following are excerpt from Malaysiakini:
In 1998-1999 trials, Anwar experienced the phenomenon of fabrication of DNA evidence. We …read more

Wan Farid: What’s the difference between 20 or 50 minutes?

Read this statement from our Deputy Home Minister Wan Farid Wan Salleh as reported by Star Online. A little reminder though, for whatever reasons, please refrain yourself from laughing while reading this. You have been warned.
KUALA LUMPUR: PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would not have been able to turn up for his scheduled appointment at the city police headquarters on time.
Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wan Farid Wan Salleh said Anwar was supposed to have gone straight to the police headquarters here after his interview at the Anti Corruption Agency in Putrajaya.
“Instead, he was on his way home. …read more

Anwar Ibrahim arrested… again.

Anwar Ibrahim arrested… again.

Well, it looks like the police can’t even wait for just another hour before the 2.00pm deadline. This is not a surprise at all I guess. The arrest had been expected by Anwar and it is just a matter of when and where. Let us all pray that the history does not repeat itself… although in Malaysia political context, even banana tree can bear fruits twice.
Malaysiakini reported:
Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by the police just outside his home in Bukit Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, at 12.55pm today.
The de facto PKR leader was on his way back to his house after …read more

Anwar now is a US snitch…. he he he

Two days ago, I blogged about US Government statement against politically motivated charges against Anwar and predicted that statement by the US Government will be used against Anwar by the BN Government.
Well, here you go…. thanks to our Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar.
“Anwar is a tukang lapor (snitch) to America. Every time when something happens, he reports to the US,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.
“I thought he wants to be our country’s leader … why ask advice from foreign countries?” he added.

Now, how did Syed Hamid know Anwar reported the issue to the US? Does he has …read more

Who is going to investigate Musa and Gani?

Who is going to investigate Musa and Gani?

Oh my…. what the hell is going on with this Bolehland country.
The following is PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim’s police report, which was lodged today at 3pm at the Selangor police headquarters in Shah Alam:
I, Anwar Ibrahim, hereby make the following police report based on information that I have recently received.
1. This report is in relation to the investigation into the assault on me by the former IGP Tan Sri Rahim Noor on 20 September 1998. I believe Tan Sri (Abdul) Rahim Noor, after being prosecuted, pleaded guilty to the assault. I had lodged a police report in …read more

US would oppose any politically-motivated charges against Anwar: Just what Anwar needs at this time?

The US Government now comes into picture as reported by Malaysiakini:
The United States said today it would oppose any politically motivated investigation or prosecution of Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim facing fresh sex misconduct charges.
[....]“The main point for us is that the rule of law needs to stand above politics,” said Tom Casey, spokesman for the US State Department.
“And we would certainly oppose any use of law enforcement or judicial procedures for anything other than legitimate purposes of the law,” he said.
Noting that Anwar had previously faced similar charges and that his conviction was ultimately overturned, Casey said, “So, we …read more

Anwar taking refuge at Turkish embassy

Anwar taking refuge at Turkish embassy

The plot thickens in Anwar Ibrahim’s second sodomy allegation, this time by Anwar’s special aide Saiful Bukhari. Fearing for his safety, Anwar is reportedly taking refuge at the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur. How would that affect Istanbul-Kuala Lumpur relationship remains to be seen. Would Wisma Putra file an official complaint to the Turkish Ambassador for inteferfering in Malaysia’s internal affairs? That will have to be a ‘wait and see’ for now.
Here is the full press statement by Anwar Ibrahim released from the Embassy of The Republic of Turkey:

I am issuing this statement from within the embassy of the Republic …read more

Second sodomy police report against Anwar Ibrahim: Banana tree bears fruits twice?

Second sodomy police report against Anwar Ibrahim: Banana tree bears fruits twice?

If you think ‘pisang tak akan berbuah dua kali’ (banana tree does not bear fruits twice)…. you are wrong. In Malaysia, a banana tree can ‘bear fruits twice’.
In 1997, Anwar Ibrahim was sacked from the government by Mahathir allegedly for sodomy, found guilty in 2000 and sentenced to a six-year jail term. However, in 2004 the sodomy conviction was overturned and reversed by the Federal Court, the highest court, and Anwar was subsequently released.
We thought that was it. The trial was shameful and any normal person would have thought the BN Government should have learned its lesson. But it looks …read more

Sabah crossovers: Stop the talking, just do it

Sabah crossovers: Stop the talking, just do it

By now, I think everyone is getting sick, restless and frustrated hearing just talks and claims that PKR has the numbers to unseat the BN Government.
I initially did not agree with Anwar’s plan to court BN MPs to switch camp in order to defeat BN in the Parliment. However, BN Government’s indifferent attitudes towards the Malaysian people make me changed my mind.
But after months of speculation and the date of the crossovers keep changing, I think Anwar Ibrahim and Jeffery Kitingan should just keep their mouths shut and work on their plans quietly.
Eight days ago, the date given was …read more
