While I agree stern actions should be taken against the recalcitrant Ahmad Ismail over his racist remarks against the Chinese, he should never be charged under the draconian Sedition Act we have all resented.

First, Pak Lah said Ahmad didn’t mean what he said. Then Najib apologized to the people. Now, why on earth did Ahmad Ismail not apologize for himself? Does it mean that he still stand by his remarks?
If what Ahmad said is seditious and a police reports had been lodged against him, and now Najib said sorry for Ahmad, in a way admitting what Ahmad said was wrong… bear in mind at this juncture Ahmad had neither apologised nor retracted his seditious remark…. what is taking the police so long to act?
