Malaysia Boleh spirit doesn’t seem to work on Malaysian soccer team

by CJCM on July 12th, 2007

Asian Cup: Malaysia thrashed 5-1 by ChinaNo matter what or how, the national soccer team seems to be having a mental blok of some kind. Millions of public money have been spent on soccer that covers every known aspect of soccer development. The team was sent for overseas training. Matches with top international teams were arranged at huge costs. Sponsorhips are abundance. Fans support were always there. But what did we get in return? Nothing but failure upon failure…. that’s what we were returned with after faithfully supporting the soccer team.

Malaysian soccer team had been a disgrace for sometimes now. I think they were given too many second chances. No wonder the fans are fuming mad over the most recent loss of 5-1 to China in the Asian Cup. Even Tengku Abdullkah, Malaysia’s number 1 soccer fan was disappointed to say the least.

For reasons known only to the team themselves, Malaysia Boleh spirit doesn’t seem to work on the national soccer team. Compare that to other popular sports among Malaysian such as badminton, squash or bowling, Malaysian soccer team leaves much to be desired.

I am lost for words. I just don’t know what to say. Maybe… just maybe… we should abandon the team altogether and spend the money elsewhere. As a last resort, maybe we should train Mat Rempit to represent Malaysian soccer. With proper training and support, they managed to scale the Himalaya after all. Maybe they can do better in soccer as well? What do you think?

The conclusion is Malaysian can’t play a soccer, in 1980’s yes but 1990’s or 2000’s not the right session.

Lawan dengan negara berperang macam Iraq atau Indonesia yang meletup bom sana sini pun boleh kalah.

Memang benar kita tak sepatutnya beri mereka peluang mewakili negara. Cukuplah sekadar main bola petang-petang utk suka-suka. Mereka layak setakat itu.

Siapa yang melayakkan? mereka sendiri. Kalau hantar mereka berlatih kat planet marikh pun belum tentu dapat menang walau 1-0.
Ini adalah satu pembaziran yang sangat banyak.

After all they still losing with Uzbeskistan 5-0. New record where the host country first was out of the game in 1st round.

CJCM: Yeahh…. they are good at creating a record of that they are not supposed to create.
