VK Lingam video: Toothless panel redeemed its pride
Although the panel had received a lot critism, I think the powerless panel of three had redeemed itself in terms of pride when their reports finally revealed (in three separate reports) that a royal commission is required to get to the bottom of this scandal. The recommendation for a royal commission was a smart move by the panel after having to put up with so much pressure from the public.
The New Straits Times said the panel had concluded the clip - featuring senior lawyer VK Lingam purportedly brokering judicial appointments with a top judge - was authentic and should be investigated further by a royal commission.

The ball now is back in the Pak Lah’s court and it would be interesting to see what tactics would be deployed by him and his loyal law minister to avoid the royal commission. Nazri still says no judiciary crisis? Pak Lah, it’s your turn to redeem your pride…
