Keropok lekor Seberang Takir, Kuala Terengganu

Keropok Lekor Seberang Takir

During my previous journey back to Kuala Lumpur from Kelantan, I actually made a detour to Seberang Takir first before continuing our journey to Paka for that nice spicy fried chicken with steamed rice. We decided to stop in Seberang Takir so that we can buy this nice keropok lekor we had bought during our previous journey to Kuala Terengganu not long time ago.

This keropok lekor in Seberang Takir is so famous that you have to beat a long queue first before you can buy your keropok lekor. And I can tell you the queue is not for those who do not have patience. There are other keropok lekor makers in Seberang Takir but I don’t see any place where there is such a long queue to buy anywhere else in Seberang Takir.

This place is located on the left hand side on a quite sharp corner on your way to Seberang Takir Airport in Kuala Terengganu. You can see it very clearly on the left hand side where there is normally a long queue almost all day long in front of the blue color building where the keropok lekor are made.

Keropok LekorWhat make this keropok lekor so special? I think it is due to the texture of this keropok lekor. It’s softness is so unique and special… even if you fry the keropok lekor a little bit well done, the taste is still soft on the inside and yet crispy on the outside. The sauce that comes with it is also very unique and nice. You have to try it to get the real taste of this incredible keropok lekor.

If you want to try to make some keropok lekor on your own, you can try this menu but I won’t guarantee it will give you the same taste as the one I bought in Seberang Takir, Kuala Terengganu. By the way if you do try, please let us know how it turns out. Good luck!!
