Golfing at Guthrie Golf Academy in Bukit Jelutong
I finally set my foot on a real golf course at Guthrie Golf Academy located in Bukit Jelutong on Monday this week, which was a public holiday. Although Guthrie Golf Academy is just an 18-holes par 3 golf course, which is specifically designed for training and practising, it is really good experience for first timer like me.
I have been going to driving range for a couple of months now and I was itchy to try my game on a real golf course. Also known as Pitch and Putt Golf Course, Guthrie Golf Academy made me feel the real experience playing on a real golf course.
My first ever real golf game was of course not so good hehehe. I was hitting like mad golfers but still managed to get a par in one of the 18-holes. I lost 4 balls in the lake, one ball in the tall grass and another one totally outside the golf course LOL. I am planning to go there again this weekend.
Oh by the way, you pay only RM30 (approximately USD10) for 9-holes or RM40 (approximately USD13) for 18-holes. There is no buggy available but you can rent a trolley for additional RM5 (approximately USD2).
One thing I like about this golf academy is that it also has a family golfing facility where there is a 3-holes par 3 golf course for you to have fun with the entire family at RM20 per hour (approximately USD7). I will definitely bring my family members there when two of my daughters and my son come back from their hostels during the coming school and university holiday.

hi, i’m shikin. i ada 4 orang anak age 6 - 13 planning nak hantar belajar main golf. For your info anak i sekarang belajar dengan papanya. Any recommendation untuk dapat cikgu yang bagus for my kids.I’m styaing in Shah Alam.
Anyway thanks for your golf academy sebab me and my eldest son really enjoy main golf disana.
Planning to bring all my family there.

CJCM: Hi Shikin, Belajar ngan papa dulu OK gak supaya dah tau basic dulu, so bila dah hantar kat Pro trainer tu x lah zero knoweldge.
Tentang cikgu tu, sorry I dont have any clue, tapi normally setiap driving range ade approved trainer dan biasanye mereka ni mmg pro, so kena la wat homework sikit, tanya2 orang kat situ.
Last week I g sana ngan my family…. it was good outing coz kat normal golf course… only golfers are allowed…. tp di sini, family members who are non golfers can also join for fun.
