Unbelieveable…. that’s all I can say. If you think AirAsia is cheap for low cost travel, MAS is even cheaper. No it is not cheaper…. it is simply give-aways. MAS is offering 1 million seats at RM0.00 (local destinations only) with lots of Terms and Conditions to comply though.

Thanks to Azalina Othman, her ministry’s latest move to cancel the tourism-related memorandum of understandings in the Pakatan Rakyat-ruled states just proves to the whole rakyat the true color of the BN Government.
KUALA LUMPUR: Tourism memorandums of understanding with Opposition-ruled state governments will be terminated given the change in leadership, said Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
She said this was in line with the termination of Tourism Action Councils in the states which were previously chaired by Barisan Nasional’s state executive councillors in charge of tourism in each state.

After having a good laugh on the day that was just recently declared a holiday by Pak Lah for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya folks, I went to Bagan Lalang with my wife and my youngest daughter. It was so long since I visited Bagan Lalang that I could not remember when was my last visit to the secluded beach that is located in the Sepang district.

Malaysiakini…. the independent news portal had exposed another Malaysian scandal, this time involving the Tourism Ministry. The Ministry officials that are suppposed to maintain Malaysia’s good name in the worldwide tourism industry had instead brought shame to this beloved nation we call Malaysia.
The ambitious Visit Malaysia Year campaign introduced by the Malaysian Government involves a lot of public money and provides lucrative business opportunities for travel-related companies lucky enough to be selected in promoting the program. It was meant to be a positive contribution for Kuala Lumpur tourism, but Eye On Malaysia is generating something of completely opposite and negative impacts. But don’t blame tourists or the Kuala Lumpur folks for that.
Malaysiakini reported before that the 2007 Visit Malaysia Year Kuala Lumpur tourist attraction located at the Taman Tasik Titiwangsa had been a losing business proposition for the tour operator and the Government was bailing them out.

I was in Malacca for a one-day trip recently and here are some pictures and a video for you to enjoy. In general Malacca is a nice historical state to visit. The city is clean and there are a lot of things you can do in Malacca.

We stopped at the city center and walked around near the river and Jonker Street. You can take a river boat tour there however the river is not too pleasant to the eyes. We gave that one a miss.
