Pak Lah declared Thaipusam a public holiday for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya

Pak Lah has declared Thaipusam as a public holiday for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. Malaysiakini reported 15,000 Malaysian Indians had attended the gathering at the Cheras Badminton Stadium earlier today, as a show of support to Barisan Nasional and MIC.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who was greeted by a thunderous standing ovation when he appeared, announced in his speech later that a public holiday will be declared for the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya for the Thaipusam festival.

As soon as the clock hits 12.30 noon, I quickly drove to Putrajaya, praying that the march was still not over maybe due to FRUs and the police stopping them from proceeding. But Allah did not answer my prayer this time. So I reached Putrajaya about 35 minutes later staring at the empty facade of Palace of (In…??)Justice in Putrajaya where it was still raining when I arrived.
I just drove back to my office disappointed and immediately …read more

Shopping at Alamanda, Putrajaya

I went shopping with my wife and kids at Alamanda today. The children are starting school next week so there are a lot of shopping to be done. Alamanda is one of the nearest shopping centre around where I live in Seri Kembangan.
