In memory of Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

In memory of Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

Isn’t she beautiful and adorable? But she is no longer with us for she has been called home by Allah The Greatest. Nurin Jazlin, missing for almost one month, finally returns to eternity for the life hereafter, where all of us will be one day. May Allah place her in Jannah and may Allah punish those who are responsible for her sufferings and death in this life and hereafter. May Allah also shed some sense into the head of our IGP who has the audacity to even think that Nurin Jazlin’s parents could be charge for negligence.

Judiciary in crisis: Do you think all Malaysians aware?

mkinitv_client(“cj1909.wmv”);
It has been almost three days since Anwar Ibrahim released the video. This video is not just another video. This video is the video you would not want to know it exists but Allah is Great… this video exists since 2002 and finally surfaced in 2007 just three days ago. This video does not contain some Bollywood star talking on the phone to his friend during any Bollywood film-shooting. Instead the video shows a prominent senior lawyer…. am I starting to sound like Malaysian newspaper reporting? OK… let me start again. Instead the video shows VK Lingam talking to …read more

Senior Lawyer talking to Chief Justice: Smile… you are on candid camera

I read the latest news at Malaysiakini with my mouth wide opened and jaw dropped… awed by another Malaysia Boleh spirit that should not have been in the first place.
An explosive video clip showing senior lawyer VK Lingam in a telephone conversation allegedly with Chief Justice Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim discussing the appointment of judges was released today.
The eight-minute clip, which was taken in 2002, was made public by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim today.
Among the matters being discussed were the appointment of Ahmad Fairuz as the Chief Judge of Malaya and his promotion as the Chief Justice.

HIMARS: Who is Singapore targeting?

HIMARS: Who is Singapore targeting?

Although Ahiruddin Atan a.k.a Rocky said he is safe because he is not inside the 60km-range of the deadly weapon called HIMARS, our top military brass should be concerned of this latest purchase by Singapore.
The order for the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) includes nine trucks, each fitted with a pod of six rocket tubes. At the press of a button, the trucks can launch rockets to pound enemy positions some 60km away.
What makes the system lethal is the 644 armour-piercing bomblets – each smaller than a soft drink can – packed into each rocket …read more

Batu Buruk shooting: Will the police buy Osman Ismail’s stories?

Batu Buruk shooting: Will the police buy Osman Ismail’s stories?

There were so many people at the Batu Buruk shooting incident and yet only this one poor soul dare enough to come up with an eyewitness account of the incident? Of course there were many more who saw what had happened, but knowing what sort of trouble they will get from the police if they come forward, the public choose to remain silent. Even Osman conceded that he did not trust the cops. His fear does hold water knowing the fact that he is an opposition party, PAS, supporter.
Excerpts of Malaysiakini report:
According to Osman Ismail, the policeman did not …read more

Opposyphobia syndrom in Parliment: What is then that can be considered urgent Mr Speaker?

Opposyphobia syndrom in Parliment: What is then that can be considered urgent Mr Speaker?

For generations, Malaysian Parliment speakers have been suffering from a syndrom called Opposyphobia. No, don’t bother to refer to your Thesaurus or google the phrase on the web because this syndrom is only applicable in Malaysian Parliment thus not defined anywhere else in the world. Everytime the opposition moves for an urgent motion to be debated in the Parliment, the answer is always not urgent and the excuse given is because so and so is already looking into it. Even though the motion does make sense or beneficial for the public to know, don’t also expect your elected Member of …read more

Police shot live bullets in Batu Buruk: Was it necessary?

Police shot live bullets in Batu Buruk: Was it necessary?

I had wanted to comment on the recent Budget 2008 announced by Pak Lah but what happened in Batu Buruk deserved urgent posting here.
If I remember correctly, police violence towards the public was never heard off until Anwar Ibrahim were sacked by Mahathir Mohamed in September 1998. The sacking of the charismatic leader had sparked off massive street demonstration by his supporters. It was at this time that the police force, especially FRUs, were heavily deployed to disperse crowds that had caused major headache to the BN Government led by Mahathir. I still remember, water canons, FRUs, uniformed …read more

PAC not satisfied with PKFZ explanation, but is there really any hope of finding out the truth?

I read with interest about latest news in Malaysiakini where PAC is reportedly not happy with PKFZ explanation about the mega project that caused major uproar among the public, save of course for some selected Malaysian ministers that should not have been elected in the first place for failing to champion and safeguard the interest of the people who had elected them to office.
Public Account Committee (PAC) is not satisfied with the explanation given by Port Klang Authority (PKA) over the ballooning cost of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).
The powerful parliamentary committee chaired by Shahrir Samad met with …read more
