Sepang Gold Coast: Future Kuala Lumpur attraction in the making

After having a good laugh on the day that was just recently declared a holiday by Pak Lah for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya folks, I went to Bagan Lalang with my wife and my youngest daughter. It was so long since I visited Bagan Lalang that I could not remember when was my last visit to the secluded beach that is located in the Sepang district.
When I reach Bagan Lalang, just a few kilometers from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the huge billboard that spells out ‘Sepang Gold Coast’ immediately caught my intention. For whatever reasons, I didn’t know …read more

Eye On Malaysia continues to draw criticism

Eye On Malaysia continues to draw criticism

It was meant to be a positive contribution for Kuala Lumpur tourism, but Eye On Malaysia is generating something of completely opposite and negative impacts. But don’t blame tourists or the Kuala Lumpur folks for that.
Malaysiakini reported before that the 2007 Visit Malaysia Year Kuala Lumpur tourist attraction located at the Taman Tasik Titiwangsa had been a losing business proposition for the tour operator and the Government was bailing them out.
The Government of course denied the claim by Malaysiakini and just recently the Ministry of Tourism had announced that the huge structure will remain until 31st August 2008, …read more

McLaren dominated Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix

McLaren dominated Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix

It was an easy win for Fernando Alonso but Lewis Hamilton had to work a little bit harder for the second place with Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen haunting him at third place. Alonso’s win ended McLaren’s 20-race victory drought infront of spectator-packed grandstand that is a record in itself for a Malaysian F1 race.
Alonso is the first McLaren winner in the Malaysian GP after Raikkonen in 2003. He is also the first McLaren race-winner since October 2005 when Raikkonen won the Japanese GP.
