Anwar comes out, RPK goes in…. what a week!

It is only Thursday of the week but what a week it has been in Kuala Lumpur.

  1. Monday 14th July, massive traffic jam all over Kuala Lumpur, but there was no riot, rally or what so ever.
  2. Tuesday night 15th July, the great debate between Anwar Ibrahimm and Shabery Cheek on fuel price increase, LIVE!
  3. Wednesday 16th July, Anwar Ibrahim arrested one hour before he was due to be present at the police station for questioning
  4. Thursday 17th July, Traffic jam continues in the morning, Anwar released on bail in the afternoon after spending a night in lockup, but RPK is arrested and on his way to court
  5. Friday 18th July, …….?
  6. Saturday 19th July, ……?
  7. Sunday 20th July, ……?

According to Malaysiakini report, though:

PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim has been freed on police bail this morning. He was seen leaving with his family and lawyers in a car at 9.45am.

He has gone back to his house in Bukit Segambut, Kuala Lumpur and is expected to call a press conference at 2pm.

Anwar was not charged but will have to report back to the police in a month’s time on Aug 18.

[....]Sankara said Anwar was complaining of back pain after having to spend the night on the floor last night.

[....]“My husband is in pain,” the PKR president told reporters before leaving.
