28th December 2006, One of My Family’s Happiest Day
I am feeling on top of the world. And so is my eldest daughter, Sakinah. No, I think she is not feeling on top of the world… she is feeling out of this world. Few months back, she sat for a major Form Three examination, Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) and today she got her result. Straight As in all 9 subjects. Pheww…. all of us have been nervously waiting for this date. And thank God Almighty, our prayers are finally answered and all of her hard work paid off. We just came back from dinner for celebrating her outstanding achievement and now I have to think of what to buy for her as a gift. She had indicated for a notebook computer but I politely reasoned with her that the notebook wont be a good idea for now, because she is staying at the hostel and not allowed to bring any gadget to the hostel. Furthermore, she has access to the computer at the school and also at home when she comes back every fortnightly. I had promised her that the laptop computer will be purchased when she started her tertiary studies in two years time after her Form 5 major examination Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), meaning she has to pass the SPM examination with flying colors too. Nevertheless, we already had a date for the entire family to go bowling probably this weekend before she goes back to school next week. I hope to post some pictures of our outing at Alamanda’s ARL Powerbowl as soon as possible. See you around…!! Congratulation to my daughter, Sakinah.
