AirAsia never changed

Just like BN, it looks like AirAsia too never changed and had hardly learnt from its experience. This airline is synonymous with delay from the very beginning it assumed its operation. In one of my flight to Jakarta many moons back, Tony Fernandes who was making his rounds in the aircraft told everyone the delays were unavoidable as the were short of aircrafts. At that time he asked for some time to fix the problems where the new orders for aircrafts would be delivered.

Now, I don’t remember how many months since that conversations took place, but I am now sitting in LCCT waiting for a flight to Singapore and my flight is now delayed. Two nights ago, my mum’s flight to Kota Bharu was also delayed. As I am typing this post, delays announcements kept coming.

Tony? What happened to your promises to your passengers?

We may have to live with it when it concerns AirAsia. So if you have a connecting flight on another airline, make sure you go to the connecting hub one day earlier or risk missing your onward journey. It is OK if your connecting flight is on AirAsia as they will put you on the next available flight to your destination. Never expect to be paid for the delay though cos they will make sure that they will inform you before the 3 hours delay period expires. I use it often because it is the only airline I can afford to fly with unless I manage to get the supersavers from MAS or Firefly..

On one occasion, they announced that the delay was due to delay of incoming flight from Kuching. That’s not all. They managed to scare us that the cause was due to insufficient ‘oil engine’ (or s’thing like) that made them to turn back to Kuching airport. Pheww!
And tomorrow I’ll be flying with them again because of $

CJCM: Hahaha…. they are saving on engine oil to give you cheaper price?

I think that you can now complain directly to the Air Asia CEO himself – send complains to Tony Fernandes Blog

Maybe he doesn’t know how people feel.
