The plot thickens in Anwar Ibrahim’s second sodomy allegation, this time by Anwar’s special aide Saiful Bukhari. Fearing for his safety, Anwar is reportedly taking refuge at the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur. How would that affect Istanbul-Kuala Lumpur relationship remains to be seen. Would Wisma Putra file an official complaint to the Turkish Ambassador for inteferfering in Malaysia’s internal affairs? That will have to be a ‘wait and see’ for now.

In 1997, Anwar Ibrahim was sacked from the government by Mahathir allegedly for sodomy, found guilty in 2000 and sentenced to a six-year jail term. However, in 2004 the sodomy conviction was overturned and reversed by the Federal Court, the highest court, and Anwar was subsequently released.

Comes tomorrow, Lim Kit Siang’s emergency motion to debate Raja Petra Kamaruddin’s (RPK) latest allegations against several high profile individuals linking them to Altantuya murder case will be shot down by the Speaker, that is what I am predicting. It took so long but DBKL has finally got it right… I hope.
DBKL has allocated RM1 million to provide 3,300 secured parking bays for motorcycles.
The motocycles parking bays will be installed with wheel locks to prevent motorbikes theft which is quite rampant in this country.
We hope this move by DBKL will be emulated by other city councils throughout Malaysia to curb motorcycle thefts.

The 1-million-people rally being organized by Anti-fuel Price Hike Protest Coalition (Protes) was originally scheduled to happened on July 12. Then for tactical reasons, the date was brought forward to July 5th. Sabah Progressive Party (Sapp) today announced that it would move a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi when Parliament resumes on Monday.
