Ezam returned to UMNO Baru
So Malaysiakini report had confirmed that Ezam has met Pak Lah and submitted his application form to return to UMNO Baru…. for life.
Former PKR Youth chief Ezam Mohd Nor held a 30-minute meeting with Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Parliament today to submit his application form and a RM100 in lifetime membership fee to rejoin Umno.
Immediately after the meeting, Abdullah held a press conference in which he welcomed Ezam back into Umno.
Ezam was also present but did not say anything. He will hold his own press conference tomorrow morning at 11am.

It will be very interesting to see what Ezam will announce tomorrow. I am sure every politically-minded citizen will be waiting for the press statement from Ezam who was once was a very close aide to Anwar Ibrahim and a heavy critic of UMNO Baru, corruptions and what not.
I have blogged about ‘Ezam vs Anwar, UMNO wins‘ before and today it is confirmed that UMNO Baru wins.
From my point of view, under normal circumstances, Ezam’s return to UMNO Baru could be a big moral boost to Pak Lah and the dying party of UMNO Baru but after what Ezam had gone through, it might backfire to both Ezam and his new party, but then only time will tell. What do you think?

ezam atau bapak ezam masuk pun, UMNO sudah tidak relevan, ezam hanya beban yang mempercepatkan UMNO karam
I’ve met Ezam; and he seems a nice down to earth person unlike most of the Umno elitist idiots! I think Ezam has this typical dream that Umno can be reformed from within. He will be disillusioned soon enough when he realized as I was, that Umno is like evil capitalist scum, cannot be reformed since it’s a fascist, sadist-macho, elitist and racist party right from the beginning; at the root of it! Not along the way, as ordinary Malays thought!

All the best to him and UMNO … he is just one man … no need for PR to worry
I just do not get it. He went to jail under OSA for possessing classified documents and heavily criticised UMNO for corruption, nepotism and croynism. He portrayed himself to be Mr. Clean by being the chairman of an Anti Corruption Watchdog.
Now he rejoined UMNO. What is he going to do in UMNO? Help to clean up UMNO? How? Its mind boggling indeed.
One can never tell in politic.
