Mahathir…. blogger of the year?

Mahathir…. blogger of the year?

Mahathir commanded a lot of love and hatred during his hey days as the Prime Minister of Malaysia… so when he launched his own blog (because the main stream media had shunned him in their reports… kind of getting to taste his own medicine… you know what I mean) a lot of people would be interested to read what he has to say now that he is now an ex-prime minister.
His blog, Che Det dot Com had achieved one million hits in just one month after being launched.
Touching one million hits among bloggers seem to be something to be …read more

When b5media Travel and Culture Channel Editor Mary Jo announced there was going to be a theme day centered around the letter “T”, I was quite sceptical of the pending results. I am proud to invite you to join me in the T-party at b5media Travel and Culture Channel… well done guys.

At Europe String, Jul brings us lots of “T’s” with her list of favorite European destinations that start with the letter T.

Port Dickson Golf and Country Club

Port Dickson Golf and Country Club

I have just returned from an un-planned short holiday to Port Dickson. This time I stayed at a 2-bedroom apartment at the Port Dickson Golf Country Club (PDGCC) which is located at Si Rusa, Port Dickson.
Here are some of the pictures around the swimming pool and the golf driving range.

I wish there is an olympic size swimming pool… but this pool is just as fun, especially for the kids.

Ezam oh Ezam….

Ezam oh Ezam….

If the news about Ezam re-joining UMNO Baru is true, there is only one phrase I could use to describe his move…. bad taste.
How else can I describe his move? The majority of Malaysian population had rejected UMNO Baru as proven in the recently concluded general election. Even Mahathir had quit UMNO Baru…. although for a different reason. And yet Ezam wanted to re-join UMNO Baru? At this juncture?
Think again Ezam! Don’t fool yourself…. UMNO Baru is not for you… not after what you have been preaching while you were in PKR and now in Gerak. Oh… I understand …read more

Golfing at Guthrie Golf Academy in Bukit Jelutong

Golfing at Guthrie Golf Academy in Bukit Jelutong

I finally set my foot on a real golf course at Guthrie Golf Academy located in Bukit Jelutong on Monday this week, which was a public holiday. Although Guthrie Golf Academy is just an 18-holes par 3 golf course, which is specifically designed for training and practising, it is really good experience for first timer like me.
I have been going to driving range for a couple of months now and I was itchy to try my game on a real golf course. Also known as Pitch and Putt Golf Course, Guthrie Golf Academy made me feel the real experience playing …read more

Mahathir quit UMNO Baru, showing his true color

Shahrir Abdul Samad said:
The Johor Baru member of Parliament said that while Mahathir was a brilliant person, his resignation however did not seem like a very clever way of bringing about change within the party.
“I feel his actions are weird and not logical,” he added when asked to comment today on Mahathir’s shocking announcement.
Rafidah Aziz said:
Wanita Umno chief Rafidah Aziz meanwhile said that Mahathir’s action looked as though he was punishing the party over issues which he was not happy about.
“By right those who want change can do so internally, improve and correct from within. We know he wants transfer …read more

Mahathir quit UMNO Baru laa… not UMNO

Mahathir quit UMNO Baru laa… not UMNO

Mahathir actually did not quit UMNO laa. Please…. he quit UMNO Baru. The original UMNO party that was formed 62 years ago had been declared unlawful by the court during Mahathir’s administration. So Mahathir formed UMNO Baru and that is the party that had been the main component of the Barisan Nasional ever since. Now Mahathir had quit the party he himself formed in 1987. Well…. what can I say except…. sayonara Mahathir. Musa Hitam said ‘duri dalam daging dah terkeluar‘ (literally trnslated: thorn in the flesh has come out).
I urge all bloggers to refer UMNO using its full name …read more
