Welcome to b5media… Kuala Lumpur is Home’s new network
I would like to welcome everyone to b5media, the new network owner of Kuala Lumpur is Home. I was away on business trip to Bangkok for a few days since my last post and at almost the same time there was a migration work done to transfer the contents of this blog from Home Turf Media to b5media which took a bit longer than expected. Now that the migration is completed, I am back in the blogging mood and I am very excited to continue blogging under a new management team at b5media. With more than 320 blogs, 15 vertical channels and over 10 million unique visitors a month, b5media is one of the largest blog networks in the blogosphere.
I case you are wondering what has happened… Home Turf Media’s blog owner Jon Symons has decided to divest his one-year-old blog network as part of his business re-organization and has offered all his blogs for sale. While some blogs were sold to the individual bloggers and other third parties, Kuala Lumpur is Home, San Francisco Voice and The San Diego Beat were acquired by b5media and will be featured under the Travel and Culture Channel of the famous b5media network.
The migration is only the first steps of a series of steps to be taken by the b5media as part of the acquisition. You could expect new theme for this blog soon and re-branding is also expected to take place in due course… more details will be announced soon as we move along.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jon and Home Turf Media for Kuala Lumpur is Home’s great start. I definitely had learnt a lot from Jon during my short stint as a city blogger with Home Turf Media. I wish Jon will have more success in his future internet business endeavour.
I would also like to thank the b5media for giving me an opportunity to be part of a great blog network. With the supports from a team of professional bloggers behind b5media, I am sure Kuala Lumpur is Home is able to reach for greater height in the future. 2007 was definitely a good year for Kuala Lumpur is Home and I look forward for a more prosperous 2008 and beyond… stay tuned.
