PAC not satisfied with PKFZ explanation, but is there really any hope of finding out the truth?
I read with interest about latest news in Malaysiakini where PAC is reportedly not happy with PKFZ explanation about the mega project that caused major uproar among the public, save of course for some selected Malaysian ministers that should not have been elected in the first place for failing to champion and safeguard the interest of the people who had elected them to office.
Public Account Committee (PAC) is not satisfied with the explanation given by Port Klang Authority (PKA) over the ballooning cost of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).
The powerful parliamentary committee chaired by Shahrir Samad met with PKA offials in Parliament this morning.
Shahrir told reporters that the committee will be meeting PKA officers again during the fasting month to further clarify issues surrounding massive PKFZ project.
Shahrir, who felt that the meeting has created more unanswered questions, said that the next meeting would also see the participation of the Valuation Department and Security Commission.

I dare to say, despite this new development and PAC seen as powerful parlimentary committee, Datuk Shahrir will eventually give in and will put the matter to rest and billions of public fublic funds will be wasted yet again, all in the name of development. And mind you, the BN Government is not yet done with the agenda for more development…. Iskandar Development Region, Northern Corridor, Eastern Corridor…. and what not. Do we really need all these devlopment? Malaysiaku Gemilang.
