The Malaysia Boleh Series

The Malaysia Boleh Series

Looking back at what had transpired in my beloved country, Malaysia, for the past few weeks, months and years or so, I am really having mixed feelings about the state of affair of this country I call home. Malaysia is really an amazing place to be for various reasons. The first and foremost, the one that I have always been proud of to be part of Malaysia, is how beautiful this country is from the geographical point of view. From Perlis to Johor and all the way to Sabah, there is no denying of the fact that our country, Malaysia, …read more

Walk For Justice: Kudos to all of our heroes and heroins

Walk For Justice: Kudos to all of our heroes and heroins

I should have been there but I could not due to office matters, but my heart was in Putrajaya the whole morning. As soon as the clock hits 12.30 noon, I quickly drove to Putrajaya, praying that the march was still not over maybe due to FRUs and the police stopping them from proceeding. But Allah did not answer my prayer this time. So I reached Putrajaya about 35 minutes later staring at the empty facade of Palace of (In…??)Justice in Putrajaya where it was still raining when I arrived.
I just drove back to my office disappointed and immediately …read more

Made in Kelantan: Delicious Royal Murtabak

Made in Kelantan: Delicious Royal Murtabak

Folks….. I have tried this before and believe me this Made-in-Kelantan Royal Murtabak is good. At RM11 per piece it is quite expensive but it’s so thick, big and yummy you’d rather pay RM11 for one of these instead of RM3 for three or so of other murtabaks. Hmmm… I can’t wait to go back to Kelantan this coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri and enjoy these great stuff. Thanks to the Star for featuring this murtabak in today’s edition of Star Online.

Judiciary crisis: CJ says…. Nazri says…. I say….

Ahmad Fairuz says: No comment
Nazri Aziz says:
“I am his minister. I am the minister in charge of legal affairs. He is clever enough to know that the reporters will ask me for a response,” Nazri explained when contacted today to explain his intervention in the matter.
Nazri also branded the Bar Council’s plan to hold a march on Wednesday to press for investigation into the scandal as an attempt to display ‘hostility’ and as support of the opposition.

In memory of Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

In memory of Nurin Jazlin Jazimin

Isn’t she beautiful and adorable? But she is no longer with us for she has been called home by Allah The Greatest. Nurin Jazlin, missing for almost one month, finally returns to eternity for the life hereafter, where all of us will be one day. May Allah place her in Jannah and may Allah punish those who are responsible for her sufferings and death in this life and hereafter. May Allah also shed some sense into the head of our IGP who has the audacity to even think that Nurin Jazlin’s parents could be charge for negligence.

Instead the video shows a prominent senior lawyer…. am I starting to sound like Malaysian newspaper reporting? OK… let me start again. Instead the video shows VK Lingam talking to …read more

Senior Lawyer talking to Chief Justice: Smile… you are on candid camera

I read the latest news at Malaysiakini with my mouth wide opened and jaw dropped… awed by another Malaysia Boleh spirit that should not have been in the first place.
An explosive video clip showing senior lawyer VK Lingam in a telephone conversation allegedly with Chief Justice Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim discussing the appointment of judges was released today.
The eight-minute clip, which was taken in 2002, was made public by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim today.
Among the matters being discussed were the appointment of Ahmad Fairuz as the Chief Judge of Malaya and his promotion as the Chief Justice.

HIMARS: Who is Singapore targeting?

HIMARS: Who is Singapore targeting?

Although Ahiruddin Atan a.k.a Rocky said he is safe because he is not inside the 60km-range of the deadly weapon called HIMARS, our top military brass should be concerned of this latest purchase by Singapore.
The order for the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) includes nine trucks, each fitted with a pod of six rocket tubes. At the press of a button, the trucks can launch rockets to pound enemy positions some 60km away.
What makes the system lethal is the 644 armour-piercing bomblets – each smaller than a soft drink can – packed into each rocket …read more

Batu Buruk shooting: Will the police buy Osman Ismail’s stories?

Batu Buruk shooting: Will the police buy Osman Ismail’s stories?

There were so many people at the Batu Buruk shooting incident and yet only this one poor soul dare enough to come up with an eyewitness account of the incident? Of course there were many more who saw what had happened, but knowing what sort of trouble they will get from the police if they come forward, the public choose to remain silent. Even Osman conceded that he did not trust the cops. His fear does hold water knowing the fact that he is an opposition party, PAS, supporter.
Excerpts of Malaysiakini report:
According to Osman Ismail, the policeman did not …read more
