Cheapest air travel Sydney – Kuala Lumpur by Jetstar

AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandez will have to do more magic to beat Jetstar when it comes to low cost travel between Sydney and Kuala Lumpur. Tony had just announced the plan for AirAsia’s long-haul operation AirAsiaX to be the first low cost airline to operate between Australia and Malaysia but Jetstar apparently had already offered low cost travel between Sydney and Kuala Lumpur for merely RM88.00 one way. Wow…. with this kind of airfare, you (yes…… you who are reading this post) and I could be on our way to Sydney anytime sooner than we ever thought.
It would be interesting to watch how AirAsia could match the fare offered by Jetstar knowing that the current AirAsia fare from Kuala Lumpur to Shenzhen (longest destination currently operated by AirAsia) is RM229.99 one way for travelling on 9th September 2009.
