Congratulation to Pak Lah on your wedding

Pak Lah and Jeanne Abdullah…. meant to be togetherSpeculations about Pak Lah and Jeanne Abdullah being married had surfaced on the internet and blogs a few months back.

Anyway, while on the subject of the Prime Minister’s wife, some say Pak Lah married Jean Danker on 22 January 2007 while others say he will be marrying her tomorrow, 22 February 2007. Now, which one is true we do not quite know yet but she is already following Pak Lah on his overseas trips.

When asked by Malaysiakini, Pak Lah denied the news as rumours:

When he pressed the premier on the veracity of these rumours, Abdullah responded: “These are rumours, rumours-lah, rumours, rumours, okay?”

Rumours or not… only Pak Lah and Jeanne (and of course Allah the Most Knowledgable) knew about the truth at that time.

Now that it is confirmed the two will be officially pronounced husband and wife this coming Saturday, I like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Prime Minister Pak Lah and his newly found love Jeanne…. may your marriage brings happiness to both of you, your families and Malaysians in general.

About Jeanne Abdullah:

The bride-to-be, Jeanne, 53, was born in Kuala Lumpur and is the eldest among four siblings.

She had also served several major hotels in the city, including KL Hilton and Pan Pacific Hotel. I’m curious about how this works in Malaysia. Does she have an official title, such as first lady? Does she have official duties?
