Night shopping at Bazaar Rakyat in Seri Kembangan
For some reasons, Malaysians love to do shopping at night. The existence of pasar malam (night markets) in every corner of the country is the testimony of this. Recently, there is another night shopping trend taking place in Malaysia especially here in Kuala Lumpur. Near my place, there is a new bazaar opened for night shopping a couple of months ago. Situated next to the Pasar Borong Selangor (wholesale market) in Seri kembangan/Puchong, Bazaar Rakyat is the place to go if you would like to shop for clothings and other non-grocery items. It opens every night from 9.00pm until 1.00am. If you are hungry, there is a row of food stalls offering a wide variety Malaysian delicacies for your hungry stomach. Parking spaces are also aplenty. If you are coming from Seri Kembangan, Bazaar Rakyat is on your left after Pasar Borong Selangor, behind the Petronas petrol station. If you are coming from Cyberjaya or Bukit Puchong, you have to exit at an interchange heading to Seri Kembangan and make a U-turn in front of Pasar Borong Selangor.

Yepp, Seri Kembangan will never be the same again. Pasar Borong, Jusco, and now Night Bazaar. More are coming..

Seri Kembangan now is not same with the previous S.K. Later on, S.K will be same with Puchong. Slowly grown up.
Bazaar Rakyat ni dah tak hidup..i’m living near the bazar rakyat… kesian tengok kat orang yang meniaga situ takde pelanggan..i think the management should find another way to attract visitors here..such as pasang internet wifi..

saya dan kawan2 ada idea nk majukan dan menarik org ramai ke bazar rakyat seri kembangan.tetapi kami perlukan sokongan dari pihak pengurusan supaya program2 yg dirancang,bole dijalankan dan mengembalikan semula bazar rakyat seri kembangan seperti dulu.

Haiii…I live near bazaar rakyat as well..thinking of nak jual tudung kt situ…may I know how can I get a space there? Now ni tudung ala Ekin is really in trend..and I’m producing my own product! I’m also looking for anyone interested to my dealer/agent.

Ada sebarang berita mengenai Permai Central Transportation Hub yang dirancang bersebelahan Bazar Rakyat, belakang Petronas pada tahun 2007 oleh Menteri Pengangkutan secara besar-besaran? Harap projek tersebut dapat diteruskan memandangkan GIANT sudah naik. Stesen bas tersebut dapat meningkatkan pengunjung ke Bazar Rakyat dan Giant yang bakal dibuka. Seterusnya pembukaan exit KL Putrajaya juga dapat memesatkan pembangunan di kawasan ini.Bas ekspres juga boleh singgah di Permai Central dan menarik lebih ramai pengunjung.Ada sesiapa yang tahu perkembangan terkini?
I personally feel all future developments should be put on hold until they broaden the roads first because as it is now you can see the morning jams so congested ok.
i can’t imagine how’s it gonna be like once Giant and etc are up…
CJCM: Hmmm…. not sure about holding any future development. But, yes I agree with you the road should be widened… NOW!
