An evening in Ijok on by-election polling day…Part 1

I arrived in Ijok at about 4.30pm after some gruelling journey that took me almost 2 hours via Sungai Buloh. I definitely made the mistake by taking that route. I should have followed the Guthrie Highway to save some time and made some extra money for the toll concesionaire.

I didn’t stop at the Ijok town but rather drive passed the town to one of the polling centers at one of the school which is situated right in the mosque compound. Here are some of the photos I managed to shoot using my Nikon S9 digital camera that I bought at one of PC Fair in Kuala Lumpur . The situation at that time was still intense. The supporters of the two rival parties were carrying posters and placard to get their supports and messages accross. Any passing car that carried party’s flag would definitely get the big boos when passing the opposing party camp.

After spending about 20 minutes here, I made my way to Ijok town to see what the folks in the otherwise sleepy town were up to. As a matter of fact, I wanted to go to Batang Berjuntai where the votes counting will be caried out later that evening at the Public Hall of Batang Berjuntai. However a stop at the Ijok town was inevitable as it was on my way to Batang Berjuntai.
