An evening in Ijok on by-election polling day…Part 3
I guess by now, you would have already known about the two buses that were allegedly ferrying phantom voters that were caught by PKR and PAS supporters. The highly intensed incident aparrently started in Bukit Badong at about 4pm (that explains why Ijok town was still relatively calm when I passed by at around 4.15pm). The two buses were spotted at a polling station in Sungai Darah earlier that afternoon on the polling day. see the video coverage of the incident by Malaysiakini.tv.
The following pictures show the two suspected buses being quarantined at the Ijok police station. There were massive crowds at the main junction in front of the police station and the traffic towards Batang Berjuntai just grounded to a halt.
Wan Azizah and Tian Chua arrived shortly at the Ijok police station to find out more on the suspected buses. While the rest of the public crowds were kept at a distance by the riot police, I managed to squeeze myself into the media and journalist crowds… without any media permit. Here are what I could get with my trusted Nikon S9.
At the same time, a helicopter (police chopper I assumed) was seen busy monitoring the situation from the air.
I have got some videos to share but these are now being uploaded to YouTube and will take some time even with my underperforming 512KB Streamyx connection. Stay tuned for more reports on the evening of Ijok by-election polling day.
