Volunteers Needed For Flood Relief Work in Johor

Worst flood in recent history

Johor had been hit by flood again. The second wave of non-stopped rain had brought much more damages to many more cities in Johor. Up to today, it had been reported that more than 100,000 victims had been evacuated from their homes for safety.

500mm and 700mm of rain fell in Johor within four days in December, equivalent to the total amount of rainfall for the state for two-and-a-half months to three months.

Volunteers needed for Flood Relief WorkWhile other states are also affected by flood, Johor is the worst hit. Kota Tinggi evacuation centers had even reported that it cannot take any more victims. The situation in Kota Tinggi was critical as the water at some parts reached the first storey of buildings and roads leading to the area was cut off by flood waters. There are also shortages of volunteers to help with the relief works. Please help in anyway you can by registering as volunteers. The contact numbers are as provided here.
