In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, Malaysia Airlines is now offerring 250,000 one-way tickets at cheap rates, with fares starting from as low as RM9 to RM199 for domestic travels. Travel period is from March 1st to September 30th 2007.

I read the Star Online today and the following was what have been agreed by the counsels representing both parties:
…both parties agreed to “henceforth not publish any articles, comments or posts regarding the dispute presently before the High Court” that may prejudice a fair trial.

I have been away for two days due some family emergency in my hometown and had not been been able to update this blog for the last two days. Well it depends on who you talking to I guess. But let’s look at what ‘defamation’ means. According to Concise Oxford Dictionary 1-th Edition, ‘defame’ means ‘damage the good reputation of’. So its all about reputation. Jeff Ooi is an outspoken Malaysian blogger. And so is Ahirudin Attan a.k.a Rocky. Their blog articles seem always to revolve around Malaysian politics. Being politic there are always something fishy to talk about. Someone couldn’t stomach what were written in Jeff’s and Rocky’s blogs, so they take it to the court, despite the fact that one of the suing party is actually a national newspaper. A national mainstream newspaper, pooling resources with four others….. sued two poor bloggers for speaking their minds. I read the news statement by our Prime Minister with much interest today, when he was launching the new National Education Blueprint 2006-2010. The new education policy, among other objectives, is supposed to produce students that can think out of the box. Pak Lah reckons not many students, despite their academic excellence, who can think out of the box. What Pak Lah doesn’t realize or choose to ignore is the fact that the majority government policy makers are also not able to think out of the box.
